Core Value
Humanity, Dignity and Empathy
Reference Stage
The reference stage can be very important and should not be overlooked. You can create a template which contains specific questions targeting Murad Code Values and Competencies to gain more insights on your candidate in previous roles.
Some potential questions which can be included for this value:
“Can you describe a time when you observed the candidate interacting with someone in a vulnerable or distressing situation? How did they demonstrate respect for that person’s dignity and well-being?”
“Can you think of a time when the candidate demonstrated an ability to understand or reflect on another person’s perspective or reality, even if it was different from their own?”
“How does the candidate handle situations where there may be cultural, social, or personal differences between them and the people they work with?”
“Does the candidate need any support or development when it comes to humanity, compassion and respect?”
“For work with sexual violence survivors or their confidential information, what strengths does the candidate bring to ensuring they feel respected, dignified and understood?”
“How much empathy does the candidate exhibit? Can you give examples of their humanity and empathy towards others?”
“Based on your experience, would you trust this candidate to uphold dignity, respect, and survivor agency in their future work?”
