Core Value
Humility
Reference Stage
The reference stage can be very important and should not be overlooked. You can create a template which contains specific questions targeting Murad Code Values and Competencies to gain more insights on your candidate in previous roles.
Some potential questions which can be included for this value:
“How open is the candidate to feedback? Can you give an example of when they have changed their approach based on feedback?”
“Can you describe an example of when the candidate learned from their own mistake on the job?”
“Can you describe a time when the candidate recognised their own limitations and sought support or guidance instead of trying to handle something alone?”
“In your experience, how does the candidate respond when something is outside their expertise?”
“Can you share an example of when the candidate sought expert advice, referred to others, or stepped aside to allow someone better placed to lead on an issue?”
“Have you seen the candidate be open about constraints (e.g., time, resources, mandate) in a way that builds trust rather than raising expectations they can’t meet?”
“How important is self-advancement for the candidate? Have you ever seen the candidate put their own achievements or team goals ahead of other people’s well-being and comfort?”
“Have you ever observed the candidate pushing their own objectives or organisational mandate ahead of what survivors wanted or needed? Can you describe the situation?”
“Does the candidate need any support or development when it comes to humility?”
